The 5 Bahamas Tourist Spots To Try and Visit

The Bahamas really relies on its tourism, from the people who just want to relax on a beach to people who want to try scuba diving and swim with sharks. While the country does have hundreds of tourist spots, we narrowed down our favorite places to visit to just five, and here they are:

Atlantis Paradise Island

We start off our list with a resort that many consider to be one of the best in the Bahamas. According to Planetware, this popular 141-acre Aquaventure "evocatively recreates the legend of Atlantis in a luxury hotel, entertainment complex, aquarium, and water park."

Visitors can see hammerhead sharks and swordfish swimming along open-air pools or swim along the over 20 swimming areas. There are also other attractions, such as the Lazy River Ride and the Leap of Faith, where visitors can go down at high speeds through a giant water slide.

Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park

The island of Exuma may have now become infamous because it was where the infamous Fyre Festival was held. However, it remains one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Bahamas.

Exuma is also home to the popular swimming pigs, as tourists can interact with the pigs that are freely moving around one of the beaches. If you're a fan of Netflix documentaries though, why not stop by the beach where the disaster known as the Fyre Festival was held?

Pink Sand Beach (Harbour Island)

One of the Bahamas's most impressive wonders can be found in Harbour Island, which is known for its pink sand beach. It gets this pinkish hue from the thousands of broken coral pieces, shells, and calcium carbonate materials from the sealife that live near the island.

Dean's Blue Hole

This peculiar natural phenomenon can be found on Long Island and it is believed to be the deepest blue hole and the second largest underwater chamber in the world. It is said to be 663 feet deep and is a must for any diving enthusiast.
