Despite claiming to be bankrupt as he owes the families of the Sandy Hook victims millions in settlement money, conspiracy theorist Alex Jones is still living a lavish lifestyle, spending almost a hundred thousand dollars in one month alone.

As the Associated Press pointed out, the infamous conspiracy theorist is still telling his InfoWars audience that he has money problems and is pleading for them to buy his products. However, his own personal documents have shown that his net worth is around $14 million, and in July, he spent around $93,000.

Jones has been filing monthly financial reports with his lawyers in his personal bankruptcy case as he tries to escape paying the Sandy Hook families who won their lawsuits against him. Jones claimed that the mass shooting in Sandy Hook in 2012 was a hoax and that some of the children and teachers were crisis actors. This led to several lawsuits where the families sought $1.5 billion in damages. Jones has been ordered to pay that amount but still has not, feigning bankruptcy.

"It is disturbing that Alex Jones continues to spend money on excessive household expenditures and his extravagant lifestyle when that money rightfully belongs to the families he spent years tormenting," said Christopher Mattei, a Connecticut-based attorney representing some of the Sandy Hook families. "The families are increasingly concerned and will continue to contest these matters in court."

What Was Alex Jones Spending His Money on Despite Claiming Bankruptcy?

His personal documents showed that Jones spent $93,000 in July, which is far more than he spent in April. This still does not include his legal fees and costs for his court cases. So, what did he spend all that money on?

The court filings stated that he has been paying his wife, Erika Wulff Jones, $15,000 a month. He also paid $7,900 on housekeeping and $6,300 for meals and entertainment, not including groceries, according to the Daily Mail. As for his groceries, though, he spent almost $3,400 - or around $850 per week. Jones also spent $6,700 in maintenance and property taxes for his Texas home and $5,600 on his vehicles.

The InfoWars host defended his immense spending despite claiming to be bankrupt, saying, "'If anything, I like to go to nice restaurants. That is my deal."

The man, worth over $14 million then, urged his followers to donate money to pay for his legal expenses. Not a single penny has been paid to the Sandy Hook victims' families yet.

Alex Jones Trashed and Complained About America, Praised Vladimir Putin in Russian Interview

Earlier this month, "America's most famous conspiracy theorist" also appeared on Russian state TV in an interview with Vladimir Solovyov. As UPROXX put it, he "proceeded to trash America, almost cry, and almost vomit" during the interview with Russian state media.

Alex Jones appeared as a guest on "Full Contact," hosted by top propagandist Vladimir Solovyov. He then claimed he was facing "assassination" attempts and added, "This could be my last message."

He then praised Vladimir Putin and Russia and proceeded to praise the Russian war effort.

"We have to tell the truth about what's happening in Ukraine, even if it gets us killed, because the globalists are insane, mentally [sic] degenerates," Jones said.
