Former UFC star Paige VanZant is casting doubt over Taylor Swift Travis Kelce romance's legitimacy, asserting that it is a "100 percent fake" publicity stunt, per the NY Post.

On her podcast "Page and Austin," the 29-year-old athlete claimed that the relationship is a strategic move to attract a new demographic to the NFL.

VanZant did not hold back, challenging Swift's fan base, stating, "Come for me, Swifties. I have UFC fans coming for me; I think I can handle the Swifties."

She emphasized her belief that the connection between the pop icon and the Chiefs' tight end is primarily for publicity, benefiting both the NFL and the involved celebrities.

"It is publicity. It is - one, it's huge for the NFL because, yes, the NFL is big. Taylor Swift is huge, and now she's getting an entirely different demographic to come watch the NFL," VanZant declared.

"Think of the wives that are buying Travis Kelce jerseys now. It's a huge publicity play on both fronts. It's good for Taylor Swift, it's good for the NFL, it's good for Travis Kelce. There is so much strategic stuff that's happening," she added, pointing out the potential impact on merchandise sales.
