Trailing Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley has gone on the offensive and is calling frontrunner Donald Trump a chicken during an ad on Fox News's "Hannity." This came after she lost Nevada to "None of These Candidates" as Trump was not on the ballot.

According to CBS News, the ad played during Fox News host Sean Hannity's time slot, when many conservative voters are watching the opinions show that is largely praising the former president.

Haley, the last Republican challenger left to go against Donald Trump, called the former president a "chicken" for ducking her and not wanting to go on stage for a debate.

"Too old and unfit? Or just unhinged and afraid? We don't know," the ad read. "But one thing we do know. Donald Trump is chicken."

The former president has largely avoided engaging his Republican rivals in debates, even though he is the frontrunner for the party in 2024. This is despite his myriad of legal problems that include civil and criminal cases, both at the state and federal levels.

Trump spokesperson Karoline Leavitt addressed the ad in an email to CBS News, saying, "Why would President Trump waste his time debating a candidate who was crushed by 30 points in Iowa, defeated by double digits in New Hampshire, literally lost to 'nobody' in Nevada, and has zero pathway to victory?"

The Trump spokeswoman also revealed that the twice-impeached, 92x-indicted former president is now looking forward to the general elections and not minding the primaries anymore, saying, Trump "will debate his real opponent, Joe Biden, any day of the week."

US Supreme Court To Hear Arguments Regarding Donald Trump Disqualification

Meanwhile, Trump may never even be able to get to debate Joe Biden should he defeat Nikki Haley at the Republican primaries as the US Supreme Court will hear oral argument on Thursday regarding his disqualification on the grounds of the 14th Amendment.

The highest court in the land will consider whether Donald Trump is eligible to run for president after several lower courts established that he was liable for the January 6 Capitol Insurrection, thus breaking the 14th Amendment by running for president again. The law bars any former officer who has engaged in an insurrection from taking any public office.

As The Guardian noted, this would be a landmark case as there is still no precedent regarding an established insurrectionist such as Donald Trump running for office.

It was also noted that the idea to impeach Trump using the 14th Amendment did not come from liberals, but from two conservative legal scholars who published a 126-page law review article last summer. They argued that based on the 14th Amendment, Trump should be disqualified.

House Republican Blasts Donald Trump Over Border Claim

Donald Trump also got blasted by fellow Republican, Texas Rep. Chip Roy, over the former president's claim that any president could unilaterally close the US-Mexico border. This came after Senate Republicans shut down their own border bill, which contained provisions for what they wanted, to placate Donald Trump.

"No, we're not just going to pass the buck and say that, 'Oh, any president can walk in and secure the border,'" the House Republican told The Hill. "All a president has to do is declare the border's closed, and it's closed. Well, with all due respect, that didn't happen in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020. There were millions of people that came in the United States during those four years."
