The 2024 Academy Awards have now wrapped up, with Oppenheimer dominating with seven massive Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Director.

The biopic about the man behind the atomic bomb racked up some of the biggest prizes of the night, ending with that Best Picture win against some very tough competition, including American Fiction, Anatomy of a Fall, Barbie, Killers of the Flower Moon, Poor Things, and many more.

Oppenheimer lead Cillian Murphy took home Best Actor while Robert Downey Jr. received his very first Oscar for the film, winning Best Supporting Actor.

Meanwhile, the film's director, Christopher Nolan, won his very first Oscar, in what many said was a long time coming. He defeated Martin Scorsese, Justine Triet, Yorgos Lanthimos, and Jonathan Glazer to win his first Oscar ever, according to the Academy's official website.

"It's been the wildest, most exhilarating, most creative journey we've been on," Cillian Murphy told the audience. "All my fellow nominees, I remain in awe of you, truly. I'm a very proud Irish man standing here tonight. We made a film about the man who created the atomic bomb, and for better or for worse, we're all living in Oppenheimer's world - so I'd like to dedicate this to the peacemakers everywhere."

Speaking of Oppenheimer, the other half of Barbenheimer, Barbie, stole the show at this year's Oscars when Ryan Gosling performed "I'm Just Ken." According to The Independent, Barbie herself, Margot Robbie, was seen laughing hysterically during the performance.
