Mikayla Nogueira has confirmed that she and her husband Cody Hawken are divorcing, ending weeks of speculation after followers noticed he had been absent from her recent videos. The announcement came in a 12 February post, where she said the decision had actually been made the previous year but that she needed time to process it before going public.

In her statement, she told viewers:

'I am getting a divorce. Take a minute, take it in. I am getting a divorce.'

She added that she would not be sharing the reason behind the split, explaining that the main goal was to protect Hawken's privacy.

'I'm not going to be sharing any details whatsoever as to why Cody and I have made this decision. The main reason I am doing that is because I want to protect Cody. Cody deserves that.'

The couple married in July 2023 and had documented much of their relationship online.

Nogueira described the separation as amicable, saying they still care deeply for each other and remain in contact. She noted that they continue to speak regularly, and that Hawken still visits their dogs and sometimes comes by for dinner.

A Very Amicable Decision Made Quietly in 2025

Nogueira later explained that she had spent months privately processing the breakup before speaking publicly.

She said the period involved 'a lot of crying, a lot of talking to family, friends, therapy, everything you can think of to get to a place where I can make this video. Now I heal.'

She reiterated that the separation should not be tied to Hawken's past addiction struggles, which included a stay in rehab in 2025 following a relapse. In her video, she asked fans to leave that history 'out of the conversation,' stressing that the divorce and his recovery journey were separate matters, adding that 'they are two separate things.'

Mikayla and Cody had been quietly discussing their relationship's next step during the later months of 2025.

Despite the split, she described their relationship as meaningful and said she does not regret the marriage. 'Cody and I love each other so much. We would do literally anything for each other,' she told followers, calling the separation 'very amicable.'

Earlier Reflections on Pressure and Relationships

Some followers have linked the announcement to earlier posts in which Nogueira spoke candidly about feeling 'lost' after years in the spotlight. In a January video, she said an 'eye-opening epiphany' had made her realise that her focus on content creation had jeopardised certain personal relationships and consumed much of her life.

Mikayla's earlier posts focused on self-reflection and addressing the emotional toll of maintaining a large online presence. In other interviews and podcast discussions, she emphasises that healing is a gradual process rather than a single turning point.

And finally, as a confirmation to the links and speculations, she mentions seeking couple's therapy and consulting with close family and friends in her divorce announcement post.

For now, Nogueira said she plans to continue posting content while navigating the separation privately. 'We're entering a completely new chapter of our lives—an unexpected chapter—and we're embracing it,' she said, adding that no speculation would reveal the real reason behind the divorce because 'the only people that know why Cody and I made this decision is Cody and I.'
