The MTV Video Music Awards 2013 maybe over, but the encore reactions and backlash on the happenings during the awards is still in full swing. One of the most talked about reactions, however, is from the Smith family.

The Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY was filled with the most famous in the entertainment world, including Will Smith and his family. One of entertainment's royal family were seated right at the audience area when the show started. Now, the entertainment world is buzzing about an image taken from MTV's "audience cam" that showed Will and children Willow and Jaden both shocked and confused.

The viral image was initially reported to be the Smith family's reaction to Miley Cyrus' raunchy performance. However, new updates reveal that the reaction was made during Lady Gaga's outlandish performance of "Applause" as shown on the inset image at the lower right (see headline image above).

"The 44-year-old father and Jaden, 15, cringed, as Willow, 12, also looked confused during Gaga's multiple costume changes (including a square hood) for her "Applause" show opener inside the Barclays Center," Yahoo! OMG wrote.

While Will and his brood may have been reacting to a different performance, Miley's teddy bear-filled act had its own string of mixed reaction as well. A lot of were also negative.

The 20-year-old singer took the VMA stage to perform her single "We Can't Stop" and a collaboration with Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines." However, Miley's show - which included huge teddy bears, grinding, twerking and other not-so appropriate gestures with foam fingers - wasn't welcomed with open arms by a lot of celebrities.

Yvette Nicole Brown tweeted: "Miley, step away from the foam finger and put your tongue away...PLEASE. #VMAs I'm so confused. #OldFogeyTweet"

Actor Kevin McHale also shared a similar sentiment. "So confused #VMAs2013" he tweeted.

Singer Josh Gracin was a little more serious in his comments. He first posted "Billy Ray Cyrus.... Please find some way to be a dad.... Miley Cyrus has official lost it. #unfortunate," then followed by "Thanks Miley Cyrus.. Now I have to explain to my 11 yr old daughter why she no longer can follow your career."
