The MTV Video Music Awards 2013 was, if anything, momentous. Aside from all the glitz and the glamour that all the famous artists brought into the red carpet and the show, the night also made music history by showcasing one reunion that has been in waiting for more than a decade.

The VMAs has always been one of the biggest nights in the music industry with the biggest stars all coming together to honor the best music videos in the industry, however last night may have paved this claim further.

Starting the show off was Lady Gaga who performed her newest single "Applause" on the VMA stage at Barclays Center in New York for the very first time. Kanye West also performed "Blood on the Leaves", while Katy Perry capped the awards night with her newest single "ROAR."

However, the biggest moment of the night was the much awaited reunion of the '90s boy band 'NSYNC. After going on a hiatus in 2002, fans have seen very little of the group, and they have rarely performed together since then. The rumored performance of the group was the most awaited moment of the night, with people buzzing about it on social media sites.

The reunion was sparked by Justin Timberlake bagging the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award this year. Honoring his achievements in the music video category, JT performed several of his hits, including "Bye Bye Bye" and "Girlfriend" with former bandmates JC Chasez, Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick and Lance Bass.

Timberlake also brought home three more moon men, while Macklemore & Ryan Lewis were also big winners of the night. Selena Gomez, One Direction and Taylor Swift also won in their respective categories.
