"Handsome felon" Jeremy Meeks went viral again this week.

This time, because of a bogus article claiming that his wife had killed Meeks, who initially went viral for his sexy mug shot that was posted online by the Stockton Police Department.

The fake article was posted on the satirical Huzlers.com website earlier this week.

Huzlers.com claimed that upon Meeks' release from jail on Tuesday night, he went to his mother's house and it was there that he got into a fight with his wife, Lashanda Meeks.

"Police said Meek and his wife Lashanda Meek had longstanding personal issues. They said the fight ended with Meek laying in the road with two wounds -- one they said, looked like a knife wound, the other may be a gunshot wound. Witnesses also reported a loud pop. An autopsy is scheduled for Friday," reads the fake article that even spelled Meeks' last name incorrectly.

The article concludes the fabricated story by claiming that "Police caught Lashanda Meek on the run about a mile away from the murder scene at an apartment complex."

Although the Epoch Times notes that Huzlers.com includes a disclaimer at the bottom of the site that reads, "Huzlers.com is a combination of real shocking news and satire news to keep its visitors in a state of disbelief," fans still believed the story and took to Twitter to express their sorrow over the Internet's most talked about felon.

"Crazy how that Jeremy Meeks dude was killed an hour after he got out of jail. Can't nobody have him now," one Twitter user wrote.

Another person tweeted, "So Jeremy Meeks was killed an hour after his release.. By his wife wth."
