This was not just any fundraising event. It was a night where music legends performed while a star-studded crowd watched. The "Apollo in the Hamptons" event was held over the past weekend at the Hampton estate of billionaire Ron Perelman, Politico reports.

It was a night of fun for the guests, with New Jersey Governor Chris Christie even showing off some his best dance moves. The portly governor was a guest of Jon Bon Jovi. Egged on by Oscar-winner Jamie Foxx, the governor showed his winning dance moves, gamely keeping to the beat while doing something like a chicken dance.

The New Jersey governor was not the only one who showed some dancing moves. Senator John McCain of Arizona also swayed to the beat, dancing the robot with actor Jamie Foxx.

The annual fund-raiser, as usual, was a star-studded affair. The guest list included Donna Karan, Barbara Streisand, Robert DeNiro, Jack Nicholson and Sir Paul McCartney. Anjelica Houston, James Brolin, Harvey Weinstein, Howard Stern, Matt Lauer, Bill O'Reilly, Penny Marshall, Roger Waters and Don Johnson. Performers included Pharrell Williams, Gladys Knight, Sting and Bon Jovi.

The fundraiser quickly turned into a dance party for the Republicans, as the two well-known political figures went on stage. New York Post was able to get hold of the video showing the governor from New Jersey dancing with Jamie Foxx.

The video showed Governor Christie moving from side to side, raising his arms and bouncing/jumping up and down on stage. His dance was the only one captured on video and the dance of Senator McCain was not shown.

Special guests during this year's fundraising event were the multiple Grammy award-winner Lenny Kravitz, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Darlene Love and neo-soul band The Roots.

This year's Apollo in the Hamptons was able to raise $4 million for the Harlem Theater programs.
