The 2014 Corvette Stingray Z51 is getting a massive amount of praise for finally living up to car lovers' expectations.

The Chevrolet Corvette has been one of America's most popular sports car since its debut 60 years ago. Now, the new C7 coupe is impressing reviewers everywhere, surpassing the expectations of a typical sports car.

Its 455 horsepower, 460 pound-feet of torque and performance and interior amenities are just the beginning of the long list of the newest Corvette's impressive features.

The Stingray Z51 features an updated interior that is emphasized by intimacy, comfort and lack of clutter. A low hood gives drivers a scenic view of the road. Designers achieved this effect by avoiding the stacking of electronic screens and airbags.

The C7 also comes in seven-speed manual or six-speed automatic, both of which give the driver improved control. Meanwhile, gas usage is under control as well with the Corvette Stingray getting 29 miles per gallon on the open road. You can thank the 6.2 liter, small block, directed-injected V-8 can for that, which turns off the car's four cylinders when not in use.

Do not forget about the Stingray's LT1 push-rod engine either, a luxurious type of engine that many car makers no longer even attempt to manage.

For those of us who may not be very car-savvy, the look of the new Corvette Stingray might be one of the most important factors of the car. Chevrolet did not forget about that. The Corvette no longer has round rear tail lights. Instead the car features has four tail pipes and a rear that is "arch and attitudinal," according to Bloomberg.

The Chevy Corvette starts at $53,000. The price goes up to $63,800 for a top-line model with the sports performance package and can go as high as $66,000.
