Emily Ratajkowski, who appeared in the music video for Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" is coming close to sealing a deal to co-star as Ben Affleck's mistress in the upcoming film, Gone Girl, The Wrap reports.

Gone Girl will be directed by David Fincher and will serve as a film adaptation for the mystery novel written by Gillian Flynn. If the deal goes through, Ratajkowski will earn her first major film credit.

Ratajkowski, 21, would play a girl named Andie. Andie is a college student who engages in an affair with a married man named Nick, played by Affleck. Eventually, Andie teams up with the parents of Amy, Nick's wife played by Rosamund Pike of 2012's Jack Reacher, in order to falsely accuse Nick for the disappearance of Amy.   

Gone Girl features a variety of a cast. Tyler Perry writer and star of such films as Madea's Family Reunion, plays Nick's defense attorney.  Carrie Coon of the short film One in a Million, portrays Nick's twin sister.  Meanwhile, Patrick Fugit (Almost Famous) and Kim Dickens (The Blind Side) co-star as detectives, and Neil Patrick Harris, who stars in CBS' "How I Met Your Mother," appears in an unnamed supporting role.

Gone Girl will be released by 20th Century Fox and New Regency in 2015. Reese Witherspoon and Bruna Papandrea will begin production of the film this fall alongside Leslie Dixon.

Ratajkowski is most recognizable as the almost-nude model in the "Blurred Lines" music video. She is a British model who began her modeling career with Ford Models at age 14.  Ratajkowski has also made appearances in Nickelodeon's "iCarly" and FOX's "New Girl." Currently, the model is on the cover of Carine Roitfield's CR Fashion Book.

Her co-star, Affleck, also stars in Runner, Runner with Justin Timberlake, which will be in theaters Oct. 4.  Runner, Runner is a thriller about gambling directed by Brad Furman, director of 2011's The Lincoln Lawyer. Timberlake plays Richie, a young man with big dreams who gets involved with online poker superstar Ivan Block, played by Affleck. Richie encounters Ivan after learning that Ivan cheated during a poker game the two played. When he confronts him, however, Richie finds himself attracted to Ivan's lifestyle which is filled with women, parties, money and alcohol.
