The 2014 NFL season has already reached Week 6, and a huge match-up is gearing up to take place as the San Francisco 49ers are set to face the St. Louis Rams on Monday Night Football at 8:30 p.m. EST Monday.

Both of these teams play tough defense and play in the same division, the NFC West. Latin Post.com previews the game, predicts a winner and lets fans vote on who will win:

San Francisco 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers are 3-2 with wins over the Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs. This 49ers team is currently riding a two game win streak, and has yet to win a divisional game. Their only divisional game thus far was a Week 2 loss against the Arizona Cardinals.

Running back Frank Gore continues to prove the doubters wrong. Gore has been the best offensive player for the 49ers this season with 365 rushing yards and an impressive 4.7 yard per carry average. Wide receivers Anquan Boldin and Michael Crabtree have been the best wide outs for the 49ers as expected. However, Boldin has yet to find the end zone this season.

Quarterback Colin Kaepernick is a multidimensional quarterback, who can beat teams with his arm and legs. Kaepernick struggled a lot early in the season, but has four touchdowns and just one interception in his last three games. Tight end Vernon Davis is one of Kaepernick's favorite targets.

The 49ers defense is still missing NaVorro Bowman and Aldon Smith, but they're still very competitive. Linebacker Patrick Willis is widely regarded as the best defensive player on the 49ers defensive unit.

St. Louis Rams

The St. Louis Rams just can't catch a break. Quarterback Sam Bradford will not playing for the remainder of the season because of a torn ACL. Shaun Hill and Austin Davis have been filling in for Bradford.

The Rams are 1-3 with losses to the Minnesota Vikings, Cowboys and Eagles. The only win for the Rams this season was against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 2. Unfortunately for the Rams, the running game hasn't been able to pick up yet. Former second round draft pick Brian Quick leads the Rams in receiving yards with 322 and three touchdowns.

The Rams play in a very tough conference, the NFC West. Not only will they have to play the 49ers twice this season, but they must face the defending Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks twice. Even the Cardinals will be a tough opponent for the Rams.

Schedule

The 49ers and Rams are scheduled to kickoff on Monday at 8:30 p.m. EST. The game will be played at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, Missouri. This game will be shown on ESPN.

Predictions

Even though the Rams will be playing at home, the 49ers should come out victorious. Since Jim Harbaugh arrived as the 49ers head coach, the team has played very well on the road. The Rams just have too many question marks on offense. Expect Frank Gore to have a great game as well as the 49ers defense.

49ers win 27-20
