The tech giant's iMac line-up is getting a refresh! Owners of the new generation iMacs can now enjoy faster and improved performance of their desktops.

Apple has made available a new set of desktops Tuesday. The new generation iMac now has Intel's fourth generation quad core Haswell processor, 802.11ac Wi-Fi capabilities and PCIe flash storage options.

The 21.5 inch iMac comes with a 2.7 GHz quad core Intel Core i5 with Turbo Boost speed of up to 3.2 GHz and Intel Iris Pro graphics. The price for the model is $1,299. A higher end 21.5 inch iMac can be purchased for $1,499. The higher end model of the same size comes with a 2.9 GHz quad core Intel Core i5 with Turbo Boost speed of up to 3.6 GHz and an NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M with 1GB video memory.

The iMac is also available in 27 inches. The base model for the 27-inch iMac is priced at $1,799. The model already comes with a 3.2 GHz quad core Intel Core i5 with Turbo Boost speed of up to 3.6 GHz and an NVIDIA GeForce GT 755M with 1GB video memory. The higher end model will set you back $1,999 with a 3.4 GHz quad core Intel Core i5 with Turbo Boost speed of up to 3.8 GHz and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 775M with 2GB video memory.

All iMac models come with 8GB memory in two 4GBs and an expandable 1TB hard drive. The desktops will come with two Thunderbolt and four USB 3.0 ports. The iMacs will also come with the OS X Mountain Lion, Apple's most recent version of the famed desktop operating system.

iMac also now supports 802.11ac Wi-Fi according to its product page. With the upgrade, wireless performance of the iMac is expected to be three times faster compared to its predecessor. Wi-Fi range is expected to improve as well.

All iMac purchases will come with an Apple wireless keyboard, an Apple magic mouse and a power cord.
