Actress Halle Berry is launching a line of lingerie at Target stores in a collaboration with one of her favorite existing brands. Starting Monday, Berry's collection of bras and underwear from the French lingerie company Scandale will be available nationwide in stores and online.

The Oscar-winner's 10 intimate pieces will range from $7 to $18 per item, including nude, crimson and black lace fabrics, mesh elements and a few animal prints. This price point was such that Berry said will allow American women to have a more Parisian attitude toward lingerie.

"I think that it's really important to bring good quality at this price so that every woman can have a collection of it, you don't have to have one bra you pay oodles of money for that you wear until it's dead," Berry said. "At an affordable price you can have a collection that you rotate."

The actress discovered the 80-year-old Scandale line while shopping in France. She quickly became a big supporter of the brand and worked with Target to boost the company globally.

"I fell in love with Scandale while I was in Paris because the brand reminded me of the city itself -- beautiful and inspiring," Berry said in a press interview.

The star of "Extant" teamed up with lingerie manufacturer Eric Ryd to help designers at Scandale prepare for the broader American market launch.

"I have some friends of mine -- who will remain nameless -- who wear the same 'janky' bras for five years straight! As Americans, we can go there, but what I learned about the French woman is that she is always updating her lingerie," Berry said in an interview with Vogue. "They aren't going to be caught in the emergency not prepared, and if they cut their clothes off, they are going to be fabulous under there."
