For Ariana Grande, art is imitating life -- her new album, "Yours Truly" can now be dedicated to The Wanted's Nathan Sykes -- the couple confirmed they're officially dating via Twitter this week.

The couple, who was spotted cuddling at Disneyland, was leery of making their relationship official for fear of a negative backlash from fans.

Sykes tweeted, "So, I guess it's obvious now . . . thanks to everyone who is being so lovely. I'm so happy #butweareterrified #pleasedontkillme #orariana." Grande expressed her feelings through Twitter as well saying, "We hesitated saying anything as people can be a bit insensitive but thank u. We value all of your happiness, thank you for valuing ours."

It's no wonder that iCarly star would be afraid to release the news to the public given the fact other celebrities have encountered death threats. Singer Selena Gomez also received death threats when she was dating Justin Bieber.

Us Weekly, who first broke the news that the couple was dating last month, got the scoop from an insider who said that the "Almost Is Never Enough" collaborators briefly broke up because Grande 'couldn't take the heat from The Wanted's fans.'"

"She was getting death threats and couldn't deal with it. But they kept talking and she realized she really wanted to be with him, so they are giving it another go," the source explained to Us Weekly. "She really wants to see where this goes. She is just going to ignore the haters, but she was genuinely scared for her safety."

This isn't the end of the drama however, Entertainmentwise reports that Grande's brother recently took to Twitter and insulted her ex-boyfriend, Jai Books (an Australian YouTube comedian, prankster, stunt performer and entertainer) for being so insensitive - he allegedly broke up with her over the phone, and "crushed" Grande with the breakup.
