From the MTV VMAs performance to her "Wrecking Ball" music video and photo shoots with Terry Richardson, the 20-year-old twerking pop star Miley Cyrus has been showing off her skin quite a lot. She recently has revealed that Marc Jacobs is the one who introduced her to the fashion world and credits her desire to be sexy and confident to the former Louis Vuitton designer.

"He kind of brought me into fashion like when I was 16, that was when I started being around him and learning from him," Cyrus said, explaining how her relationship with the designer started as a young Disney star. She also mentions how she has inspired some of Marc Jacobs' work, as well. "He kind of let me inspire some of his pieces."

The singer and the designer recently have worked together -- the Miley x Marc collaboration is on Jacobs' cancer research t-shirt "Protect The Skin You're in," which Cyrus agrees to pose naked on.

The good-girl-gone-bad Miley Cyrus is certainly a fan of the designer for Jacobs' sexy and strong approach to fashion. She wore a fishnet-style gown designed by Marc Jacobs as her punk get-up for the 2013 Met Ball. The singer also attended the designer's Autumn/Winter 2013 showcase, wearing Micky Mouse jumpers that Jacobs made for her.

"There's definitely something amazing about being so ladylike yet being so punk," says Miley Cyrus. "I like having this punk feel about it even if it's like Louboutin. You've got to find the right designers that know how to mix. When I was in Paris working with Kenzo, that's something that they do really well there too," she continues by explaining her like of punk style, also crediting French Label Kenzo for being able to mix and match its bold designs.

The singer makes a comparison to her latest music visuals and explains how Marc Jacobs is so great at maintaining a balance with fashion.

"Something again like the 'Wrecking Ball' video or 'Can't Stop,' there are parts of it that of course are for a mature audience, but there's something kind of immature about it because the party's so ridiculous, it always has to have a balance and a ying-yang to it. That's the same as 'Wrecking Ball.' It has to be sexy and strong, and that's what I feel like with fashion; I feel like Marc Jacobs does that so well."

"Like Fashion and everything else, it doesn't need to be so serious," says Miley Cyrus.
