Dumb and Dumber To is well on its way as the movie makes its filming stop at Marietta, Atlanta.

According to Access Atlanta, the sequel to one of the most popular comedy films in history has been filming in metro ATL. for weeks now. Last Tuesday, the filming set was seen taping a few shots in the Square with actors Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels driving a Zamboni down the streets of the area.

It seemed that the Marietta Square was portrayed as El Paso, TX as a banner hanging wrote EL PASO, while other decors, including Lone Star flags, filled the place. The report noted that several stores were temporarily inaccessible while the filming went on. Traffic was also terribly during the shoot, as streets leading to the square were packed with motorists waiting for the traffic to move.

Aside from the good news that Dumb and Dumber fans will soon be able to watch the sequel to the film after 20 years, it seems that the filming in the small ATL town has also helped bring in money to the area and to locals.

Marietta Mayor Steve Tumlin told WSB-TV Atlanta that tax incentives, including permit fees, have helped put the city on the map. He also noted that the film production helps with their town's ambience.

WSB-TV Atlanta also reported that local police officers were also given being paid to help with the production, "keep up with rolling street and sidewalk closures," the site wrote.

Dumb and Dumber To will star original casts Carrey and Daniels, as Lloyd and Harry. Cam Neely, Rachel Melvin, Steve Horn, Rob Riggle and Kathleen Turner will also star in the film. Jennifer Lawrence will also be making a short cameo in the film.

Dumb and Dumber To is expected to be released by 2014.
