NBA Trades are starting to heat up as we reach the halfway point of the 2014-15 NBA season.

The New York Knicks, Oklahoma City Thunder and Cleveland Cavaliers recently made a big trade involving J.R. Smith, Dion Waiters, Iman Shumpert, Lance Thomas, Lou Amundson and Alex Kirk.

With the NBA trade deadline just over one month away, teams are looking to make deals quickly.

Here are five players that may be trade before this year's deadline:

1. Reggie Jackson

Reggie Jackson is a very good young player with exceptional ball-handling skills. Jackson has spent his entire four-year career with the Oklahoma City Thunder, but doesn't get a lot of playing time considering the talent on the squad. Jackson has never started 40 games in a season, but when given the chance, he's a good passer with great speed. The Thunder could get back quality value for the 24-year-old point guard. The New York Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers are two teams who could use a young point guard, especially considering the fact that Jeremy Lin is in the final year of his contract.

2. Jordan Hill

The Lakers are just 11-24 this season, and the future is still in question. Kobe Bryant is set to retire soon, Steve Nash isn't contributing, and the Lakers defense is among the worst in the league. A lot of NBA trade rumors have been swirling around that the Lakers are shopping both Jordan Hill and Robert Sacre. Hill isn't a dominant center, but he does lead the Lakers in rebounds this season averaging a career high eight rebounds per game. Hill is still 27 years old and makes nearly 70 percent of his free throws. With Anderson Varejao out for the season and Kevin Love hurt, the Cleveland Cavaliers could be a good fit.

3. Deron Williams

It seems as if Deron Williams' name is always being discussed when the trade deadline is approaching. Williams has been called a "coach killer" because of his inability to run plays as scripted. Williams has also been battling minor injuries over the years. Still, Williams is a great player who can help multiple teams. The Brooklyn Nets are currently 16-18 with a lot of offensive issues. If a team trades for Williams, they will have to pay him more than $20 million in each of the next two seasons, but they can sleep easy at night knowing they aren't committed long-term to him. The New Orleans Pelicans could be a good fit.

4. Goran Dragic

The 28-year-old Slovenian has been in a lot of trade talks lately.

Dragic can play both point guard and shooting guard with his passing and shooting skills. The Phoenix Suns have one of the worst defenses in the NBA, and Dragic isn't exactly a shutdown player. But he can definitely help a team offensively. Dragic is averaging 16.7 points per game on 50 percent shooting this season. Dragic can help a bad team as a starter, or a great team off the bench. The Indiana Pacers may want to consider trading for Dragic as a starter and possibly even the San Antonio Spurs for bench production

5. Chris Andersen

The Miami Heat are just 15-20 this season, good enough for third place in the Southeast division. The reality is the Heat aren't going anywhere this season. Obviously, Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade are staying put, but the Heat can value by trading away Chris "Birdman" Andersen. Andersen is an average player who can grab rebounds, hit free throws and has championship experience. He may be 36 years old, but Andersen has had a lot of great playoff moments in his career and can help a team with interior play in the future.

The NBA Trade deadline is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 19, at 3 p.m. EST
