Shortly after the conclusion of Super Bowl XLVIII, when the New England Patriots beat out the Seattle Seahawks with a 28-24 win in the Big Game, NBC got another surprise from their late-night flagship show, Rolling Stone reports.

During a special post-Super Bowl episode of "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," the talk show host and social media phenom rounded up Hollywood's brightest stars and paid tribute to the U.K.'s most fabulous band Queen with all-star a cappella rendition of the 1977 power ballad "We Are the Champions" from their platinum-selling "News of the World."

Spanning three minutes and four seconds, Fallon aired a video clip that paid homage to the opening credits of "The Brady Bunch," with a Technicolor split screen divided into a nine-square grid.

Fallon's house band, hip-hop funk group The Roots, began the epic a cappella presentation by beat-boxing and constructing a cohesive rhythm section while Fallon sang the opening verse before the reigning Queen of Country, Carrie Underwood, took over. British soul crooner Sam Smith and pop songbird Ariana Grande harmonized in a duet on the sweeping chorus before Fallon & Co. introduced a slew of famous guests.

Among them: Usher, Blake Shelton, Meghan Trainor and One Direction, who synchronized swimmingly with the Roots as a build up to the second chorus. But not even big-voiced singers Underwood and Grande could match the powerhouse vocals of Christina Aguilera, "The Voice" judge and pop icon who joined the final half of classic rock anthem played in sports stadiums across the world.

Aguilera, a veteran singer, belted out the final notes with a glass-shattering soprano note at the end before Fallon promptly thanks everyone and cuts to commercial. The moment quickly reminded everyone who was missing from the music scene these days and that there's no match for the fantastic Aguilera.
