Disney is allegedly offering Ryan Gosling the chance to play the Beast in their live-action remake of "Beauty and the Beast," Tracking Board reported.

The remake of the 1991 animated film will be a musical starring Emma Watson as Belle. Just last week she was confirmed to play the character. Watson broke the news on Facebook

"I'm finally able to tell you...that I will be playing Belle in Disney's new live-action 'Beauty and the Beast!'" she said.

"It was such a big part of my growing up, it almost feels surreal that I'll get to dance to 'Be Our Guest' and sing 'Something There'. My six year old self is on the ceiling-heart bursting. Time to start some singing lessons...I can't wait for you to see it," she added.

Bill Condon will direct the movie and David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman of Mandeville Films will produce the remake.

Movie fans have known about the remake since June 2014, but did not know who would star in the movie.

Disney has been on a roll releasing live-action versions of their classic movies. In 2010, "Alice in Wonderland" was recreated. This year, we will see "Cinderella" and "Jungle Book." There are also rumors that we could see a live version of "The Little Mermaid."

Gosling is a busy man. He is currently set to star in "The Big Short," "The Nice Guys" and "The Untitled Terrence Malick Project." He will also produce "Buzz: The Life and Art of Busby Berkeley."

No release date is yet confirmed for the "Beauty and the Beast" remake.
