The 2014-15 NFL season may be over thanks to the New England Patriots defeating the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl, but free agency is among us. A lot of NFL teams could us a valuable wide receiver, and this offseason has a good class.

Here are the top five best free agent wide receivers

1. Dez Bryant

The Dallas Cowboys don't just have the best free agent running back in DeMarco Murray, they also have the best free agent wide receiver. Dez Bryant is without a doubt the cream of the crop this offseason for teams who need a wide out. Bryant has eclipsed the 1,200 yard and 12 touchdown mark the last three consecutive seasons. Most likely Jerry Jones will open up his wallet and find a way to re-sign Bryant. Losing Bryant would be an all-time blunder for "Americas Team." We may even see the Cowboys franchise tag Bryant.

Possible Destinations: Dallas Cowboys, Oakland Raiders, Cleveland Browns

2. Demaryius Thomas

Bryant may be the big name on the market, but Demaryius Thomas puts up very similar numbers, if not better. In each of the last three seasons, Thomas has caught more than 90 passes, 1,400 yards and 10 touchdowns. Numbers don't lie, Thomas is going to get a big payday, but from who? It all depends on Peyton Manning's decision to stay with the team or retire. It's nothing against Thomas, but his numbers have skyrocketed ever since Manning began throwing him the football. There's a good chance the Broncos will re-sign Thomas, just like the Cowboys will most likely re-sign Bryant.

Possible Destinations: Denver Broncos, Cleveland Browns, Kansas City Chiefs

3. Jeremy Maclin

What a year it was for Jeremy Maclin, who missed the entire 2013 season because of a torn ACL. Despite playing on a Philadelphia Eagles squad who had quarterback issues, Maclin had 1,318 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns last season. Maclin is still just 26 years old, and he is one of the most underrated players in the league. Even without DeSean Jackson or an elite quarterback, Maclin has proven he can be a No. 1 option.

Possible Destinations: Tampa Bay Buccaneers, St. Louis Rams, Jacksonville Jaguars

4. Torrey Smith

Another very underrated wide receiver. Torrey Smith has great hands, speed, and he is a good route runner. He's not the next Michael Irvin or Jerry Rice, but he can help a team that has wide receiver problems. Smith is also a very physical receiver who has played in a tough AFC North division for his entire career. Joe Flacco is a good quarterback, but Smith hasn't had the opportunity to play in a spread "pass happy" offense yet.

Possible Destinations: Baltimore Ravens, Minnesota Vikings, Tennessee Titans

5. Randall Cobb

Randall Cobb is a quality wide receiver, but the reality is the Green Bay Packers can live without him. When you have a quarterback like Aaron Rodgers, it's best to invest in the offensive line and defense. If Cobb is willing to take a "home town discount," then maybe the Packers can reach an agreement with him and his agent. Cobb had a career year last season (as every player in a contract year coincidentally does) with 1,287 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns. There's plenty of NFL teams out there who could use Cobb's services.

Possible Destinations: Cleveland Browns, Miami Dolphins, Carolina Panthers

Other notable wide receivers entering free agency include: Miles Austin, Wes Welker, Reggie Wayne, Hakeem Nicks, Eddie Royal, Brandon Lloyd, Nate Washington, Cecil Shorts, Kenny Britt, Brandon Tate and Michael Crabtree.

The NFL free agent and trading period begins on March 10 at 4 p.m. EST.
