The rumors have been surfacing that Lady Gaga, who recently admitted that she uses fashion as a tool to deal with her "insanity," will be the new face of Versace's next ad campaign for Spring/Summer 2014

The friendship between the pop star and Donatella Versace started back in 2011, when Gaga decided to wear a vintage dress from the Versace archives for her "Edge of Glory" music video. The "Applause" singer also dedicated the entire song "Donatella," a single off her recently released studio album "Artpop," to the renowned couture designer. Lady Gaga applauds Versace for her ability to "walk the walk, no matter what."

"Maybe she's a b---h, maybe she's too skinny, maybe she's too rich, maybe she's too out there. Or, maybe she's brilliant, maybe she's intelligent, maybe she's strong, maybe she's everything, maybe she's Donatella," the singer spoke about her friend earlier this year, which the Italian fashion designer responded in turn by listing Lady Gaga's likable traits, "I would like to thank Gaga for her geniality, creativity, incredible talent and super b---hiness. I am honored to be her friend and of course, I love the song!"

The 2014 spring/summer collection from the fashion house shows off its tough, leather clad biker girl style, which Versace said that it would "liberate" the women. Although Versace is giving no comment as yet to the rumors, it has been suggested that the duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott photographed Lady Gaga while she was staying in London recently.
