Britney Spears will star in a new documentary on E! where she will tell the world I Am Britney Jean.

The documentary will show the life of Spears as she prepares for her two-year residency in Las Vegas.

"[The documentary gives] an intimate look at one of the most overexposed yet under-revealed stars of today as she faces one of her biggest challenges ever while finishing her album, shooting videos, doing press - and being a mom," E! said.

The 90-minute special will show Spears in a new light as she participates in "her most candid and revealing interviews ever."

The documentary is named after the "Work Bitch" singer's upcoming eighth studio album Britney Jean, which comes from Spears' childhood nickname.

If we're lucky, the documentary will reveal details about Spears' upcoming concert series in Las Vegas, including whether or not she will be lip-syncing for her 50 shows in 2014 and 50 shows in 2015.

According to a gossip division of New York Daily News, when Spears first announced her "Britney: Piece of Me" Las Vegas stint, a source told them that she would be lip-syncing.

"Britney does not sing," the source said. "She is being paid a lot of money to lip-sync."

Caesars Entertainment, the company that manages Planet Hollywood, denied the claims.

I Am Britney Jean premieres on Sunday, Dec. 22 at 8 p.m., with an encore airing the same night at 9: 30 p.m. on E! Britney Jean will drop on Dec. 3. Spears' residency at Planet Hollywood begins on Dec. 27.
