In a recent interview with Access Hollywood Live, actress Sheryl Lee Ralph shared her opinion on Mo'Nique's recent comments about being blackballed in Hollywood.

Mo'Nique recently spoke with the Hollywood Reporter and revealed that "Empire" director Lee Daniels told her several months ago that she was blacklisted in Hollywood.

"I got a phone call from Lee Daniels maybe six or seven months ago," she said. "And he said to me, 'Mo'Nique, you've been blackballed.' And I said, 'I've been blackballed? Why have I been blackballed?' And he said, 'Because you didn't play the game.' And I said, 'Well, what game is that?' And he gave me no response."

And even though Daniels is the one who allegedly told Mo'Nique about Hollywood blackballing her, he still fought hard to cast Mo'Nique in several of his projects including "The Butler" and "Empire," but he did not succeed due to the negative reputation Mo'Nique has already developed.

"Well, actually, I was offered the role in 'The Butler' that Oprah Winfrey played. I was also approached by 'Empire' to be on 'Empire.' And I was also offered the role as Richard Pryor's grandmother," she said. "Each of those things that he offered me was taken off the table. They all just went away. But that's just part of the business, you know? I can't be upset at anybody, 'cause life is too good. It's just what it is."

Since Mo'Nique's candid interview, Ralph has offered up her opinion on what she thinks the Academy Award-winning actress should do to bounce back in her career.

"... there's a whole lot of actors who are mean and terrible, but they work all the time," Ralph said. "It goes back to who likes you, who wants to be in your kind of crazy company. Who wants to give you money in hopes they'll get something back on the return on your madness. And sometimes you just need to shut up, sit there and look pretty."

Ralph, who worked with the comedian on "Moesha" added that a comeback is possible.

"Now, when she comes back she better be as tiny as you," Ralph explained to the Access Hollywood Live hosts. "She don't need to be Mo'Nique anymore because obviously what she was did not work. So she better come back brand new. That's what they're waiting for. And if a big-time producer says to you, 'You have been blackballed,' what he is really doing is looking at you and saying, 'You ain't never working with me again.'"

Mo'Nique has yet to respond to Ralph's comments.
