Yesterday, I had the privilege of representing The Latin Post at 123UnoDosTres' Google Hangout for the 2013 Year In Review. Joining me at the Hangout were Nuestra Voz Latina, DJ Eddie One of Latino 96.3 in Los Angeles, & DJ L-Boogs of Hot 97.

We had the opportunity to talk about a wide variety of topics both in the general market and the Latino market.

First up was our discussion about Drake -- we argued, briefly, whether he or Romeo were "softer." After a brief shoutout to the power couple of Jay-Z and Beyoncé, we had a chance to talk about Prince Royce's banner year -- especially his new single with Selena Gomez, "Already Missing You," which is almost guaranteed to catapult him into the mainstream.

We then launched into a discussion about social media -- Snapchat, Vine, Instagram, Facebook, and even MySpace came into the discussion!

Some other topics of conversation included Thalia's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and Sofia Vergara as the "Sexiest Actress Alive."

After a brief ode to Venezuelan women -- who hold the most Miss Universe wins in the world -- congratulations were in order for Wisin (of Wisin y Yandel) who will have the honor of singing the World Cup anthem this year!

We then got a little serious with the discussion -- are the depictions of Latinos in the media too stereotypical? -- before we veered into some more American culture. Specifically, we talked about the resurrection of Brian Griffin on "Family Guy," and the important lesson that show creator Seth MacFarlane imparted with the return of the Griffin family dog. Before concluding the segment, we discussed who would be having a great 2014 (in my opinion, 2014 is the Year of Juanes).

So, what are your thoughts about our year in review? Sound off and leave your thoughts in the comments below!
