"Castle" co-star Stana Katic and her longtime boyfriend were married in a private ceremony in Croatia earlier this month.

According to Yahoo, the 37-year-old Serbian-born actress, who plays Det. Kate Beckett in the series, and business efficiency consultant Kris Brkljak exchanged their vows in front of family and friends.

While Katic's private life clearly seems to have reached a point of contentment, her status on the long-running show very much still appears to be up in the air. Beyond ABC not officially signing off for an eighth season of the show as of yet, Katic's contract ends at the end of the season, and there has been much chatter her run with the series could be over even if it comes back past this season.

The pact for Nathan Fillion, who stars as Richard Castle, was also set to end at the end of the season, but network execs recently inked him to a new deal pending the show continuing into the 2015-16 season.

TVLine previously reported showrunner David Amann will not be returning next season, and Seamus Dever, who plays the role of Det. Kevin Ryan, recently described the status as "really up in the air."

Back in November, Katic told TVLine that there's a time when she'd be willing to stop.

"If the character is complete, if there is nowhere else to go creatively, then I think it's better to stop when you're on top," she said. "[F]or me it's about art over finance, and as long as we're creating something that is compelling and that has somewhere to go, then we're good to go. And when we find that we're not ... then it's time for everyone to pack up and move onto the next thing."

The May 11 season finale, "Hollander's Woods," is expected to feature a death in the woods that "draws Castle back to a terrifying and defining event in his childhood" and with Beckett facing a "crossroads."
