Lil Wayne's longtime producer, Mannie Fresh, recently gave details on the highly anticipated "Tha Carter V" album.

In an interview with Montreality, which was released on April 29, the former Cash Money in-house beat maker said he does not know exactly when the New Orleans emcee will release his much delayed 11th studio effort. He explained that the team is still waiting to see what happens next with the album.

However, Fresh seemed to know what fans can expect from Weezy's upcoming LP, saying it will sound like the first installment of "Tha Carter" series, Wayne's fourth studio record.

"We kind of went back to that original Cash Money feel, what you grew up on, the Mannie Fresh sound that you knew Wayne and Mannie did. Chemistry," he added. "It's more of the original."

The former Big Tymers member previously discussed contributing to the "Believe Me" hitmaker's long overdue project.

He told HipHopDX in February that he had contributed to a few songs, and he was hoping it was released.

"It's a big royalty check," he said. "Mama want another house."

He also praised Lil Tunechi on stage at pre-Grammy event BMI's "How I Wrote That Song" panel at 1Oak the same month.

"He was always the first one there and the last one to leave, and he had a tablet full of songs," he said. "This kid is way ahead of himself. Even when he was young, he was four grades up."

In addition, while he is still dealing with his $51 million lawsuit against Cash Money Records and the uncertainty of "Tha Carter V" release, the "Grindin'" rapper continues to promote his forthcoming records, including "Free Weezy Album."

During his performance in Jacksonville, Florida, on April 2, Wayne made an announcement to the crowd saying that "Free Weezy Album" and "Carter V" are both coming soon.
