The Season 4 finale of ABC's "Once Upon a Time" was a jaw-dropping episode that left viewers dying to know what will happen in Season 5, which is scheduled to premiere in the fall.

Vine Report describes the upcoming season of "Once Upon a Time" as the "Era of the Dark Emma."

According to Spoilers Guide, Season 5 will feature Emma tapping into her dark side. However Hook, Charming or Snow might be able to stop Emma from completely surrendering to the dark side if they can grab the dagger and gain full control of Emma.

Fortunately for Emma, she still has her true love by her side and her family is looking out for her best interests, so the chances of her fully becoming evil are small.

And Emma's chances of becoming evil will be even slimmer if the show's characters can get a hold of the powerful wizard Merlin who is the only person that can officially stop the dark one, according to Spoilers Guide.

Season 5 will introduce viewers to Merlin and all of his powerful skill and talents will be showcased throughout the season.

In addition to watching Emma's transformation and the introduction of Merlin, viewers will also get to see the recovery of Rumplestiltskin, though he and Belle will not be featured in the first episode of Season 5.

As shown in Season 4, the darkness in Rumple's heart was extracted, which left him in grave condition. As Rumple undergoes the road to recovery, viewers can expect to see Belle at his bedside.

Viewers should also note that once Rumple is revived, despite the evil's extraction from his body, he may still not become good.

The air date for "Once Upon a Time's" Season 5 premiere has not yet been announced.
