You could conceivably have papers on Sean "Diddy" Combs -- just don't expect it to be an official marriage license.

According to E! Online, during a recent appearance on the Andy Cohen "Watch What Happens Live" show, the rap mogul answered a viewer's inquiry into why he hasn't married yet with the retort, "I think you have to be ready for it. Someone else's heart is involved, and that's just a lot of responsibility."

The 45-year-old "I'll Be Missing You" rapper added he doesn't know if or when he'll ever be ready for such commitment but isn't opposed to long-term partnerships.

That's something his girlfriend of seven years, Cassie Ventura, seemingly can surely attest to. The two have now been dating since at least 2007.

Later, Combs added he'd rather approach all his relationships in the tradition of Hollywood star Goldie Hawn, who never legally married actor Kurt Russell, even though the two have been together for more than three decades and have two kids together.

"I rather just do the Goldie Hawn," Combs said, adding he is more than willing to commit to a so-called "love contract."

Certainly, he and Cassie seemed in accord during the shooting for the latest ads of his promotional campaign for his new fragrance, 3AM. The two "simulate sex in the video" that would give the creators of "Fifty Shades of Gray" cause to blush.

Other than Cassie, over the years Combs has been romantically linked to the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Cameron Diaz, Kim Porter, Emma Heming, Misa Hylton-Brim, Sarah Chapman, Naomi Campbell, Penelope Cruz, Sienna Miller and Kate Upton. He is also the father of five children.

Besides his music, Combs has starred in such films as "Made," "Monster's Ball," "Carlito's Way: Rise to Power," "A Raisin in the Sun," "Draft Day" and "Muppets Most Wanted."
