Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Nightwing, Michigan state and $131 million. Those are the latest entities being thrown into discussion about the upcoming Man of Steel sequel, which many are referring to as Batman vs. Superman.

Batman vs. Superman is turning into one powerhouse of a movie due to the slew of comic book favorites that will potentially appear in the film. Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Clark Kent/Superman, Ben Affleck has been announced as Bruce Wayne/Batman and Gal Gadot will play Princess Diana of Themyscira/Wonder Woman.

Now, Johnson has confirmed rumors that he is in talks to play a DC comicbook superhero as well.

"We just had a big meeting w/ Warner Bros CEO re: @DCComics 2014 we will partner up and create the cool bad assery. #RockTalk@ActionTilson," Johnson said via Twitter.

It has yet to be determined, however, just which character The Rock will play and if he will even appear in the Batman vs. Superman film.

Rumor has it that Warner Bros. wants Joaquin Phoenix to play Lex Luthor, but Johnson's look coincides with the tan, bald, broad Lex Luthor from "Superman: The Animated Series", which ran from 1996-2000.

Back in April, however, Johnson teased the idea of playing John Stewart/Green Lantern.

"Funny U say that...TY: @krystal_burt: @ron2smoove I could see Rock playing in DC movies. Gravedigger or John Stewart (JL's Green Lantern.)," he said.

Again, The Rock's strong, dark look coincides with the Green Lantern from "Justice League", which ran from 2001-2004.

Meanwhile, rumor has it that Nightwing, Dick Grayson/Robin's version of an independent superhero, will join the all-star cast of Batman vs. Superman. Den of Geek says that Adam Driver (Girls) is a top rumored contender, although he has denied rumors about the film.

Whoever does end up joining the film, it is sure to be action-packed because Warner Bros. has dough to blow.

CBS reports that the movie will be filmed in Michigan in various locations, including Pontiac's Michigan Motion Picture Studios. It will be the biggest-budgeted movie to ever be filmed in Michigan at $131 million.

The Man of Steel sequel also features the return of Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White and Zack Snyder as director. The movie will premiere Jul. 15, 2015.
