Following former bandmate Zayn Malik's sudden departure from One Direction, it has recently been reported that Harry Styles has already recorded his own album.

According to Daily Star, Styles worked on the most of his solo music while the band was on a break last year and he was in New York City.

"It was always the plan that he would launch a solo career first but then Zayn decided to quit," a source revealed.

Despite his plan, the "Steal My Girl" crooner is supposedly "prepared to honor his commitments" to 1D and will stay through the now four-piece's "On the Road Again" tour, as well as the highly anticipated release of their fifth studio album.

The source added Styles can easily put out a new album because of the amount of material he has, but he is taking it slowly and working to "make it perfect." But before fans start feeling conflicted on how they should feel, it seems Styles is really not focused on a solo album at the time.

One Direction reps immediately denied the aforementioned claims to Daily Mirror.

"It's complete rubbish and fabrication. Harry isn't recording a solo album -- he is [in] the studio recording for the new 1D album," the group's reps said.

In addition, the "Midnight Memories" hitmakers were rumored to take a year off in 2016 after dropping the follow-up to "Four" to pursue their own individual projects and to take a break from their hectic schedules and touring.

Styles' remaining bandmate Liam Payne insisted that there is no truth in the recent speculations.

"No, we are not taking a break after this album," he told Daily Star. "We don't know where it's come from -- we've got loads of stuff going on!"

"We've just finished writing the album. We've literally just started the process of recording it," he added. "[And] there's a whole new tour going on so I don't think we'll be going anywhere."
