Tina Fey and Amy Poehler returned to host the 2014 Golden Globes Awards last Night on NBC. Their line up of jokes included calling Matt Damon a "garbage man" and Julia Louis-Dreyfus a trader for sitting in the film section, trading in her usual T.V seat (a spoof Julia joined in acting as a snooty actress).

There were many great wins including Alfonso Cuarón winning best director for Gravity, Amy Adams for best actress in a comedy for American Hustle and Matthew McConaughey's best actor in a drama for Dallas Buyers Club. Some unexpected wins were the two awards won for brand new T.V series Brooklyn Nine-Nine for best TV series comedy or musical. Another big unexpected win was that of host Amy Poehler for best actress in a comedy or musical TV series in Parks and Recreation.

As they announced her big win Poehler was sitting on U2 band member Bono's lap, whom she playfully made out with as she got up to accept her Golden Globe. Amy was as nervous as the rest of the actors and actresses she had been making fun of all night. "I never win these things!" she exclaimed. The former Saturday Night Live cast member admitted how "cliché" it was that she was now accepting an award that she had not prepared a speech for and was shaken over it.

Never the less, Poehler seemed extremely thankful and appreciative of the award. Partner in crime Tina Fey also was very happy for her friend and fellow comedian who she has shared cameras time with several times. Amy beat nominees Zooey Deschanel of New Girl, Lena Dunham of Girls, Edie Falco of Nurse Jackie and Julia Louis-Dreyfus of Veep. The night continued with yet another low blow at Taylor Swift as Fey congratulated Amy and lots of laughs until the show culminated.

Glad to see Amy Poehler's work has been awarded and it's been yet another successful year of hosting for the queens of comedy, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
