Kevin Love will continuously be linked to other teams until he signs a contract extension this summer. The Boston Celtics are one of the teams interested in the All-Star forward, but it's still not know if they will make a push to sign Love this summer.

The Celtics aggressively chased Love last summer when the Minnesota Timberwolves were shopping the former UCLA standout, but they failed in their bid to acquire the 26-year-old because of lack of attractive trade assets.

The Timberwolves eventually traded Love to the Cleveland Cavaliers for 2014 first overall pick Andrew Wiggins and 2013 first overall pick Anthony Bennett along with a 2015 first-round pick.

Love, who averaged 16.4 points on top of 9.7 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 75 regular-season games this season, could become a free agent in the offseason if he decides to opt out of the final year of his deal.

According to Boston Herald, Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge is still high on love but is not as interested in him like last summer.

Ainge reportedly tried to acquire Love to build the roster around him and All-Star point guard Rajon Rondo, but the 29-year-old playmaker was traded to the Dallas Mavericks earlier in the season. Jeff Green, who is another cornerstone of the franchise when they were pursuing Love, was also dealt to the Memphis Grizzlies.

One league executive also told Boston Herald that he thinks Love will stay in Cleveland because he would be attracted by the lucrative deal the Cavaliers are reportedly planning to offer. There is a growing concern around the league that Love might not be worthy of huge deal because of injury concerns.

"I think he wants to be in a good situation," the league executive said. "But I also think he's concerned about his health, so he wants to get a good long-term contract. I still think he stays in Cleveland."

Love underwent arthroscopic knee surgery in 2013 while playing for the Minnesota Timberwolves and also suffered a broken hand. He was also bothered by an ailing back during the regular season this year and his first playoff trip was also cut short after undergoing shoulder surgery.
