The four teams in Group D will fight for survival when they see action in Day 9 of the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup in Canada.

USA vs. Nigeria

The USA women's soccer team will look to top Group D when they collide with Nigeria at the BC Place Stadium in Vancouver, Canada. A win for USA will give them a favorable matchup in the knockout stages of the tournament.

USA kicked off their campaign in the tournament with a big 3-1 victory against Australia, but they were held by Sweden to a scoreless draw in their second assignment on Friday.

USA are expected to go all out to avoid complication heading into the knockout stage, but a loss or a draw could also give them the top spot in the group.

In case of a draw against Nigeria, they will still take the top spot in the group if the Australia-Sweden match ends in a draw or Sweden wins against Australia by just one goal. They will still finish first if they lose to Nigeria by just one goal and the Sweden-Australia match ends in a draw.

For Nigeria, they need to win big if they want to have a chance to advance to the Round of 16. Midfielder Asisat Oshoala knows they are facing a tough task, but she is confident they can score an upset if they will not commit the same mistakes they had during their 2-0 loss to Australia on Friday.

"We're just trying to correct our mistakes from the last game," Oshoala said in a news conference via ESPN. "We lost the last game maybe because we were not able to make some goals. That is what we have been working on."

Australia vs. Sweden

Australian and Sweden will collide in an all-important showdown at the Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton.

Australia need to win to advance or even top the group if USA lose to Nigeria. A draw will also be enough for Australia to advance if USA beat Nigeria.

Sweden, who are considered as one of the favorites to top Group D, find themselves in a must-win situation. A draw will give them three points, which might not be enough to take one of the four slots in the knockout stage allotted for third-placed teams in every group.

Where To Watch & Live Stream

Both games are scheduled to start at 8 p.m. ET. The USA-Nigeria match will be shown live on Fox Network, while the Australia-Sweden will be broadcasted on Fox Sports 1. The matches will also be available through online live stream via Fox Soccer 2GO.
