Defending champions Japan will look to remain undefeated in the tournament, while Switzerland and Cameroon will fight for a spot in the knockout stages when Group C action of the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup resumes.

Japan vs. Ecuador

Japan will look to finish on top of Group C when they take on Ecuador in their final group assignment on Tuesday at the Winnipeg Stadium in Canada.

Japan defeated Switzerland and Cameroon in their first two games, but the reigning world champions are far from satisfied after scoring just three goals in those victories.

Against Ecuador, the Japanese will have a chance to get into their rhythm on the offensive end of the pitch, considering the fact that their upcoming opponents conceded 16 goals in their first two defeats -- 10 against Switzerland and six against Cameroon.

Japan coach Norio Sasaki said they will focus on offense against Ecuador. He also admitted that they are already feeling the pressure because of high expectations for being the defending champions, but he added that the pressure is forcing them to work harder.

"For the Japanese, there is great expectation that we continue being the champion," Sasaki told Winnipeg Sun. "Among the players and the staff as well, there is that sense of tension, but I think that is also good because it makes us work very hard."

For Ecuador, their stint in this year's World Cup will likely end on Tuesday. Team captain Ligia Moreira said they will go all out to end their tournament on a positive note.

Switzerland vs. Cameroon

Switzerland and Cameroon will also collide in a crucial match at the Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton.

Unless Ecuador pull off a gigantic upset against Japan in the other group match, the winner of the Switzerland-Cameroon match will take the second spot in Group C and will earn a ticket to the Round-of-16.

In case the game ends in a draw, Switzerland will take the second spot in the group because of superior goal differential, but Cameroon will likely advance to the next round as well as one of the top four third-place teams.
