Khloé Kardashian reportedly did not attend niece North West's second birthday party to support estranged husband Lamar Odom following the death of his best friend, Jamie Sangouthai.

TMZ reported that Sangouthai, who previously made an appearance on the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" spin-off "Khloe and Lamar," was rushed to a hospital in Los Angeles on Sunday. He later passed away due to a drug overdose.

The reality star was noticeably absent at Disneyland, where the whole family celebrated Kim Kardashian and husband Kanye West's baby daughter turning two.

"Khloé was too upset over Jamie dying," a source told E! News. "She wasn't there."

Also, a source close to the former NBA player explained to Us Weekly how devastated he is at the moment.

"Lamar is beside himself. This is the worst tragedy," the source said.

Another source echoed that Odom was going through a difficult time.

"This is so sad," another insider added. "They were best friends, like brothers. Lamar is going to take this really hard."

Kardashian is supposedly helping Odom cope with his recent loss. And this may be tying the former couple closer together. HollywoodLife reports that he has much more appreciation for Kardashian because she has been there for him.

"He's completely crushed right now, and she's there for him," a source revealed. "It's making him love her all over again."

The source also claimed that the "KUWTK" star "tracked Lamar down," and the still married couple "has been talking" to each other since.

"She's been amazing, listening to Lamar's pain and being a shoulder to cry on," the source added. "She's been his emotional rock during this heartbreaking tragedy."
