R&B singer Ashanti explains that Braveheart, her soon to be released fifth studio album, is very personal. A more grown up Ashanti shows her vulnerable side through songs that talk about her relationship with ex-boyfriend Nelly and much more. Will Braveheart be the album that finally brings Ashanti officially back?

The album is to be released on Feb. 18 of this year. Although Ashanti has been promoting the album for about two years now, February seems to be her time to shine. She released the track "I Got it" featuring Rick Ross back in November and gave us a sneak peek of "First Real Love" with Beenie Man. However, it's tracks like "Scars" which Ashanti tells "The Hot 97 Morning Show" reveal her deepest sorrows.

"This album it's true Ashanti, it feels like me," Ashanti says. "There are things that I express a little bit deeper, there's a record on the album called 'Scars' which is a very deep record." Old Man Ebro immediately asks Ashanti if the song is about Nelly and she replies, "he put a couple of scars on me." The "Foolish" singer also says that she reveals much more than she ever did before in the songs that take you on another "emotional level".

The 33-year old recently shared some of Braveheart's cover art on her Instagram where she looks amazing. From rocky mountains to 2014 garage pictures, Ashanti is showing the world that she is just as beautiful as she was back when she debuted Ashanti in 2002. "The Way I Love You" singer also says that she has great confidence on this album and confirms that her mother still manages her after all of these years.

Her on and off relationship with rapper Nelly, who has now moved on to girlfriend LaShontae Heckard, inspired lots of the songs on the album. And even though they are officially broken up now, we like the "I Love You Today, I Hate You" tomorrow type of albums. Brokenhearted songs are the best! Good luck to Ashanti; do you think this will be her official comeback?
