The 2015 NBA Draft will take place on Thursday at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

The Minnesota Timberwolves, who finished with the worst record in the league last season at 16-66, will have a great chance to turn their fortunes around as they are set make the first pick in this year's rookie selection.

The Timberwolves, who boast a young core led by 2014 first overall pick Andrew Wiggins, are reportedly choosing between Kentucky standout Karl-Anthony Towns and Duke University star Jahlil Okafor.

Okafor, who helped Duke win the 2015 NCAA national title in April, is considered by many as the best prospect in the upcoming draft because he is ready to make immediate impact for the team who will pick him on Thursday.

Multi-title Duke University head coach Mike Krzyzewski said in an interview with ESPN Radio's The Herd with Colin Cowherd on Tuesday that Okafor is the best player in the draft and has a strong chance to become a star in the league in the coming years.

"He's going to be a high double-double guy in the pros," Krzyzewski said of Okafor, who averaged 17.3 points to go along with 8.5 rebounds and 1.4 blocks during his freshman season at Duke. "He's gifted. He's got feet and hands that you can't teach. He's got an attitude that's amazing. I think he's the best player in the draft."

However, the Timberwolves are reportedly leaning toward drafting Towns, who is considered by most analysts as the most promising prospect because his ceiling is very high.

Towns averaged 10.3 points and 6.7 rebounds on top of 2.3 blocks and 1.1 assists per game as a freshman for Kentucky. According to a RealGM report, citing NBA insider Brian Windhorst, the Timberwolves have reportedly decided to pick the 19-year-old New Jersey native on Thursday.

Aside from Towns and Okafor, D'Angelo Russell, Kristaps Porzingis, Justise Winslow, Emmanuel Mudiay, Mario Hezonja, Stanley Johnson, Devin Booker and Sam Dekker are among the consensus Top 10 picks according to NBA.com.

Basketball fans can catch the draft on ESPN starting 7 p.m. ET and will also be available through online live stream via WatchESPN. The complete draft order can be seen on this link, while the list of top prospects for Thursday's draft can be viewed here.
