Caitlyn Jenner has constantly been making the headlines since she unveiled her new look as a transgender woman for the first time on Vanity Fair. The “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star has become such a huge commodity in the entertainment industry that ABC is reportedly hoping to get her to join “Dancing with the Stars” season 21.

Caitlyn, formerly known as Bruce Jenner on “KUWTK,” unveiled her new look on the July 2015 cover of Vanity Fair. Unfortunately for ABC, the network seems to be “losing hope on getting Caitlyn for the show,” according to what a source revealed to Hollywood Life.

“The offer was made,” said the source. “But, scheduling, money, and a few other bumps in the road are making producers feel that they should give up on their case.”

Apparently, the network has been trying very hard to get Caitlyn for the show for quite some time now. A source told Hollywood Life in April, “Their main focus is getting her on next season. That is the number one goal for the show.”

Caitlyn’s rep has neither denied nor confirmed that the “I am Cait” star will, indeed, be part of “DWTS” season 21, but a pro dancer on the show has already expressed interest in helping her win the next Mirror Ball trophy.

“I will be Cait’s partner, for sure!” Val Chmerkovskiy told In Touch Magazine. Chmerkovskiy has already proven that he can win the show, especially after he won last season’s Mirror Ball trophy with Rumer Willis, daughter of “Die Hard” actor Bruce Willis and “Ghost” actress Demi Moore.

“I would love to have an opportunity to win it with someone that nobody else believes can do it,” Chmerkovskiy added. “As long as you have the energy, I am in it to win it. She and I will not physically match, but I volunteer!”

If and when Caitlyn does say yes to ABC’s offer, she will not be the first member of the Kardashian/Jenner clan to take part in the popular dance competition. Kim and Rob Kardashian had already tried their luck on the show several seasons ago.

Although the Internet is presently abuzz with rumors that ABC has been trying very hard to land Caitlyn for the 21st season of “DWTS,” her rep has confirmed to Hollywood Life that no one had actually approached her about it. “Nope,” said Caitlyn’s rep. “Never was an option.”
