Jennifer Garner appears to be focusing on her work in hopes of putting all her rumored personal troubles behind her.

With reports swirling that her near 10-year marriage to Hollywood husband Ben Affleck may be nearing an end, Garner took the time this week to visit the Boston Children's Hospital to do research for the upcoming film "Miracles from Heaven" she is set to star in.

People magazine reports the 43-year-old Garner met with Dr. Samuel Nurko, the director of the hospital's Center for Motility and Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders. "Miracles of Heaven" tells the story of a young girl suffering from a rare digestive disorder who finds herself miraculously cured after surviving a horrible accident.

If recent reports are any true indication, Garner may need just that kind of intervention to preserve the union she and her three young children share with Affleck.

Days after Hollywood Life reported that the two had recommitted themselves to trying to save their marriage for the sake of their children, moving trucks were spotted outside their California home hauling away boxes.

"There is trouble in their relationship, the rumors are out there because they are soaked in truth but the rumors that are not out there is that they want to save the marriage for the kids," a source said.

All that comes on the heels of recent reports that communication between the two had become so tense-filled that Affleck had moved out and was now staying at the Bel-Air hotel.

According to Us Weekly, the "Gone Girl " actor stays there whenever he and Garner reach the point where they both are at wit's end, and while there, he spends more than his fair share of time at the bar.

"There's no need to sugarcoat it," the source added. "Ben is drinking again."
