A man claims that law enforcement officers questioned him after he wore a pair of Google Glasses into a film. The man has requested to stay unknown but sent an e-mail about the occurrence to The Gadgeteer, describing how he had come with his spouse to a weekend showing of Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit at an AMC cinema in Columbus.

About an hour into the film, the man said a government officer came in and seized the computer system from his face then saw him out of the cinema. Illegal recordings had been a problem in that cinema and there had suspicions there would be efforts to steal that particular film.

"I didn't get the contact information for the officers," the man said, not knowing which agency the men were from. "I was too shaken to remember the names, and I didn't ask for business cards. The IDs they showed me looked legit -- but what do I know?"

The system is designed to record smaller videos without sound and lacks the storage space potential for longer movie files. U.S. Immigration and Customs confirmed that Homeland Security was sent to examine the counterfeiting claims.

"I kept telling them that I wasn't recording anything -- my Glass was off. They insisted they saw it on. I told them there would be a light coming out the little screen if Glass was on, and I could show them that, but they insisted that I could not touch my Glass for fear I would erase the evidence against me that was on Glass," the man said.

"After I got my prescription lens for Glass, I wore Google Glass exclusively, including at the movies," the man said. "As the prior couple of times there was no issue with me wearing glass at the very same movie theater, I didn't even think about wearing my old pair of glasses to the movie, and I didn't have my old glasses with me."
