Teen Vogue has a reputation for selecting the next big models to hit the runaways and grace the pages of endless magazines.

In their August issue, the magazine presented their picks for the next three "it models" and not only are all three women of various racial backgrounds, but one of them, Lineisy Montero, is a 19-year-old from the Dominican Republic.

Back in 2008, Teen Vogue picked Ali Michael, Karlie Kloss and Chanel Iman as the next big things in modeling. Six years later and Michael has been the face of Coach, Anna Sui and Lord & Taylor. Both Iman and Kloss have earned spots on Victoria's Secret's "Angel" roster, gaining worldwide success with endless campaigns and runway shows.

The selection of Montero, along with French-Ivorian model Aya Jones and Imman Hammam, who is half-Moroccan and half-Egyptian, is very progressive for the fashion world, where successful non-white models can be easily counted.

Montero, who is represented by huge modeling agencies Next Models and Ossygen Models, was discovered at an amusement park in the Dominican Republic and had to get a Visa to come to New York for the photoshoot.

The model's résumé, besides a cover on a major publication like Teen Vogue, boast a new campaign for Prada's Fall/Winter 2015 Collection, as well as appearing in Proenza Schouler and Balenciaga's 2016 Resort Lookbooks, and walking the runway for Prada, Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs.

The young model, along with Puerto Rican model Joan Smalls, is catering to the perception that Latinas come in all shapes and sizes, and while some like Salma Hayek and Sofia Vergara are endowed with curvaceous figures, others naturally reflect Naomi Campbell.
