Chris Froome will face his biggest challenge so far, but the Team Sky rider is determined to retain the yellow jersey in Stage 10 of the 2015 Tour De France on Tuesday.

The peloton will head to the Pyrenees on Tuesday after the first rest day of this year's Le Tour. All eyes will be on Froome as he tries to keep his lead in the 167-kilometer race from Tarbes to La Pierre-Saint-Martin.

The riders will have a relatively flat ride on Tuesday, but they will have to face three Category 4 climbs in Cote de Bougarber, Cote de Viellesegure and Cote de Montory. In the final 15 kilometers of the race, the peloton will face the hardest climb so far, which could lead to a shakeup on top of the standings.

Nairo Quintana of Movistar, Vincenzo Nibali of Astana Pro Team and Alberto Contador of Tinkoff-Saxo are considered favorites to take over in the final 15 kilometers. But for Froome, Tejay Van Garderen of BMC Racing Team, who is currently second in general classification, is still the biggest threat to his reign on top of the standings.

"Right now, my biggest rival is Tejay. It's not for me to attack the others, but we have a very good team to defend this jersey," Froome told Cycling Weekly. "Am I as strong as two years ago? I like to think so, but of course, I also have two years' more experience. Maybe that will help."

Van Garderen, who is currently 12 seconds behind Froome in general classification, also said that Stage 10 will be critical as it could determine who has the best chance to win the tour this year.
