Spanish goalkeeper David De Gea has joined Manchester United in their United States pre-season summer tour, but does this mean that his rumored move to Real won't be happening?

Marca.com noted that Manchester is not in a hurry to release their star goalkeeper, the main reason being his price. Manchester refuses to negotiate at a rate lower than €40 million ($44 million).

After Real Madrid released legend Iker Casillas to Porto, attention shifted to transfer rumors regarding De Gea being wooed by Real. According to Express, De Gea "is said to be keen on a move back to La Liga and his home city of Madrid." Casillas' move to Portugal suggested De Gea might be playing for Bernabeu and not returning for Louis van Gaal in Manchester.

But if Real do not agree with the agreement Manchester demands, Marca.com said the Spanish keeper will stay at the Old Trafford. Manchester is also reported to hold on to De Gea, while cementing a signing with Sergio Ramos.

The agreement between Real and Manchester seemed like a closed deal a week ago, but Real might end up disappointed.

Miguel Serrano of Marca said that the possibility that De Gea may not join Real has dawned upon the executives at the Bernabéu.

He wrote that United wants a two-for-one exchange, with the Old Trafford gaining both Sergio Ramos and Keylor Navas in exchange for De Gea. This poses a problem for Real as the recent exit of a Real legend has Madrid and its supporters on their knees, watching the club mull over sending another veteran in Ramos over to another organization. Madrid might consider only for an irresistible offer, Serrano said. The ballpark figure is around €90 million ($99 million), the same amount United handed over for Angel Di Maria last year.

Ryan Rosenblatt of Euro Sport reported that United have warned Real about having to finish a deal, and reaching an agreement by Monday, July 13, which they have failed to do.

With the teams looking to finish transfers as soon as possible to start planning for the coming season, De Gea's journey back home looks bleak.
