UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones has been helping out former boxing champ Holly Holm and their teammates while waiting for a possible return after being stripped of his title due to a felony charge.

Jones has not been able to keep himself out of the ring and continues to assist his Team Jackson teammates, handled by lauded MMA trainer Greg Jackson. As Holm prepares for her fight against Marion Reneau this Wednesday, she told Fox Sports that "Jones was present for many of her training and sparring sessions and his advice is always welcome."

"I think Jon's always been a really supportive teammate," Holm said. "He's really put himself available since then. He's always been helpful. We don't train at the exact same hour. They finish right when we start and a lot of times he'll stay and watch the lightweights and he's said before 'this is the pay-per-view right here, I just watch this.'"

Holm added that Jones treats everyone in the team equally, and his positive attitude has inspired the people that he interacts with.

In an April 28 statement, the UFC announced that the league has suspended Jones indefinitely, stripping the fighter of his title as a result of violating UFC's Athlete Code of Conduct Policy. The statement made public by UFC.com said the fighter was arrested in New Mexico on a charge resulting from leaving a scene of a car collision that involved personal injury.

"The organization believes it is best to allow Jones time to focus on his pending legal matters," part of the statement read.

UFC president Dana White said Jones will be given a title fight once he is cleared to return to the Octagon. "He comes right back and fights for the title," White said at an interview on The Jim Rome Show.

"He hasn't had the time that Anderson Silva's had, but he's the most dominant champion. If you look at the murderer's row of the 205-pound division that he went through, and he went through it like a hot knife through butter. He's the man. Whenever he gets his stuff together, he'd come right back and fight for the title," White said.
