The riders, particularly the tour leaders, will face another tough test on Thursday as the race heads to Plateau de Beille in Stage 12 of the 2015 Tour de France.

The peloton will take on a challenging 195-kilometer ride from Lannemezan to Plateau de Beille. It will be the third consecutive challenging course in as many days for the riders.

There will be four categorized climbs, and all four could lead to shakeup on top of the general classification. A Category 2 climb is waiting at Col de Portet d'Aspet, which will be followed by two Category 1 climbs at Cold de la Core and Port de Lers. After the three tough climbs, the riders will then face a Hors Category summit finish.

Chris Froome is still comfortably ahead in the general classification, but he knows there is no room for complacency if he wants to keep the yellow jersey.

"This race isn't over," Froome said via BBC after keeping his lead on Wednesday. "I can expect every day that someone's going to try to take the race on and make it difficult and try to get some time back."

Froome is still almost three minutes ahead of his closest competitor, but second-placed Tejay van Garderen of BMC Racing, Nairo Quintana of Movistar, Alejandro Valverde of Movistar and even 2014 Tour de France winner Vincenzo Nibali are all expected to go all out to decrease the gap in the general classification.

"I won't surrender," Quintana declared via the 2015 Tour de France official website. "We'll pay attention. If there's any weakness, we'll try to take profit from it. I'm happy with where I stand in the top 3 for now but the first place remains the goal."
