The new "Criminal Minds" spinoff series, "Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders," recently announced the additions of two female cast members.

According to Deadline, "Forever" actress Alana de la Garza and "The Intern" star Annie Funke have been tapped as series regulars on the new show, which focuses on an international FBI division that helps American citizens in danger in other countries.

De la Garza has been cast as Clara, "a smart, well-traveled cultural anthropologist on the International Response Team," reports Deadline. Meanwhile, Funke will play a fearless and fun medical examiner named Mae.

"CSI: NY" star Gary Sinise will play series star Jack Garrett, who is the head of the international BAU unit, reports The Hollywood Reporter. Other members on the International Unit include actor Daniel Henney as Special Ops Agent Matthew Simmons and Tyler James Williams from "The Walking Dead" as International Unit tech guru Russ "Monty" Montgomery, reports Buddy TV.

Earlier this year, CBS president Nina Tassler announced that "Breaking Bad" actress Anna Gunn will no longer be a part of the show, despite the fact that she played a huge role in the pilot on April 8. Instead, Tassler says the new series will create other characters as it fine-tunes its cast.

"Gary [Sinise] is sort of larger than life and [as Jack Garrett] he filled a lot of the same [needs as Gunn's character]. But we're actually going to be adding a couple of new characters" that "speak more to the needs of the franchise," Tassler explained to TVLine.

Fans of "Criminal Minds" should not expect to see the spinoff's debut until next year, since it is not currently scheduled to come on the air until midseason, reports CarterMatt. This means that it might not premiere until as late as March 2016.
