Fast food giant McDonald's recently began testing all-day breakfast in some restaurants and, according to a memo, they might start offering it nationwide in October.

NBC News reports McDonald's sent out a memo to all domestic franchises and employees that all-day breakfast could be coming in October. According to the Christian Science Monitor, McDonald's began offering all-day breakfast in 94 San Diego stores. However, they limited it to nine items, which includes Egg McMuffin, Sausage McMuffin with Egg, Sausage Burrito, Sausage McMuffin, Hash Browns, Hotcakes, Hotcakes and Sausage, Fruit & Maple Oatmeal and Fruit 'N Yogurt Parfait.

McDonald's also have been testing its all day menu in markets like Mississippi. The testing, being led by LeAnn Richards, was said to have been a huge success.

McDonald's has not revealed whether or not the concept will last. But it looks like it will be limited to the nine breakfast items. McDonald's is hoping the all-day breakfast will help generate revenue back into the company.

According to the Los Angeles Times, McDonald's reportedly has a secret menu. There are over 20 items on the menu you can order from such as the "McCrepe," "McGangBang" and the "Land, Air and Sea" burger. You can check out the rest of the list here.

The franchise hasn't been doing well recently. According to Forbes, McDonald's has been struggling for more than two years with revenue. Earlier this year, the company reported a 21 percent decline in profit. The company said it will turn things around by offering healthier items and simplifying its menu. Despite the effort, no changes were made.

McDonald's is the world's largest fast food franchise with over 69 million customers a day. Today the franchise has more than 36,000 restaurants worldwide.

October could be an important month for McDonald's. Let's see if they can turn the company around.
