International retailer listings for Grand Theft Auto V PC have kept gamers hopeful that a PC version of one of the history's most popular video games will arrive this year. Reports from game developers Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar Games, on the other hand, are not as optimistic.

On Monday, CVG spoke to Take-Two Interactive about the possibility of Grand Theft Auto V for PC, and the response was not very enlightening.

"At this point's there's really nothing for us to say about that," Karl Slatoff, Take-Two Interactive CEO, said. "We haven't announced anything as it relates to any other platforms versus what's out there."

Meanwhile, tweets from John R Diaz, a Rockstar Games developer, do not provide much information on game's release either.

"Until they are ready for you guys to the level of quality that you guys expect and that we expect from ourselves. These views are my own," Diaz said via Twitter regarding the game's release date.

Diaz also discussed the possibility of Grand Theft Auto V PC being available for Mac computers when (or if) it is finally released.

"@Stanlyok do believe there are hungry gamers on that platform. I wonder how many Mac users are also #GTA fans?" Diaz asked a tweeter who suggested making the game Mac compatible.

Based on these evasive responses, the game developers are either being purposefully secretive, or Grand Theft Auto V PC is still miles away from completion.

Retailing websites, on the other hand, claim the game will be released this June.

Czech retailer SuperGamer recently added three different Grand Theft Auto V listings to its site: Grand Theft Auto V for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. According to the website, the games will be available starting Jun. 13. Fans say the rumor has at least some credibility as Jun. 13 is a Friday, and game releases tend to occur this day. In addition, Amazon Germany also lists the Grand Theft Auto V PC. The site says the game is compatible with Windows 7 and Windows Vista but does not list minimum system requirements. Amazon Germany prices the game at 60 euros.
